Two glass plates of similar dimensions are pressed firmly against each other with a mixture between them, a hererogeneous mix of whatever comes my way in the studio dissolved in a bit of water, olive oil or wine. It provokes an uncontrollable process of physical and chemical evolution, a microscopical equivalent of landscape formation and erosion in a volume less than a millimeter deep. The evolution can last up to month for the biggest pieces before they stabilize, especially when cristallization is involved.
